    Q: What is NiMH battery?
A:The anode material of the nickel-metal hydride battery is Ni(OH)2(called NiO electrode), the active material of the negative electrode is metal hydride, also known as hydrogen storage alloy (the electrode is called hydrogen storage electrode), and the electrolyte is 6mol/L potassium hydroxide solution. The process mode of active material to form electrode electrode piece mainly includes sintering type, slurry type, nickel foam type, fiber nickel type and embedded type, etc., and the electrodes prepared by different processes have great differences in capacity and high-current discharge performance, and batteries are generally produced according to different processes under different conditions. Most of the civil batteries such as communications use slurry type anode and foam nickel type cathode to form batteries. The chemical reaction of charge and discharge is as follows :
    Cathode: Ni(OH)2+OH-=NiOOH+H2O+e-
    Negative electrode: M+H2O+e-=MHab+OH-
    Total reaction: Ni(OH)2+M=NiOOH+MH

Note: M: Hydrogen alloy; Hab: adsorption of hydrogen; The left-to-right process of the reactive formula is the charging process; The right-to-left process of the reaction is the discharge process.
During charging, the Ni(OH)2 and OH- of the cathode react to form NiOOH and H2O, and e- is released at the same time to generate MH and OH-, and the total reaction is Ni(OH)2 and M to form NiOOH, and the hydrogen storage alloy stores hydrogen. In contrast to the discharge, MH ab releases H+, H+ and OH- to generate H2O and e-, and NiOOH, H2O and e- regenerate Ni(OH)2 and OH-. The standard electromotive force of the battery is 1.319V.
